The Thunder Driller is a four-wheeled ground and subterranean vehicle in LEGO Worlds, found only in the Crystal Crags.

Description[]

This very large vehicle has a yellowish-green body, four large, black, knobby wheels and a large grey and dark grey drill bit on the front, which rotates when the digging function is engaged. Just behind the drill, four exhaust pipes emerge from the engine housing, belching exhaust smoke (and occasionally bursts of fire) while the vehicle is occupied. The pilot sits in a semi-open cockpit in the rear, facing a glowing computer screen readout. There are two control sticks and a narrow, ladder-like roll cage that comes down to protect the pilot. Two functional spotlights mounted on top of the engine housing, just behind the drill, light up the drill bit at night. The entire body of the vehicle shakes while idling or in motion. The Thunder Driller has a steady engine noise when idling that ramps up when it's in motion. It makes a beeping noise when backing up.

Function[]

While driving this vehicle, press the action button ("Icon Keyboard F" on PC) to begin digging. Unlike most digging vehicles, this one can dig upwards and downwards, including somewhat angled tunnels. Press " Icon Keyboard Spacebar " to dig upwards and "Icon Keyboard Left Ctrl " to dig downwards. Tunnels created by the Thunder Driller are flat on the top and bottom, but round on the sides, and about 16 and 1/3 bricks in height.

Background[]

The Thunder Driller is based on the special vehicle found in the Power Miners-themed LEGO set, Thunder Driller.

Notes[]

  • This appears to dig the largest holes in the game.
